Shipping policy

At PetNest SA, we are passionate about getting your pet's products to you as quickly and reliably as possible.

1. Order Processing

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays. You will receive an email confirmation immediately after purchase, and a further notification once your order has been dispatched.

Orders placed over weekends or on public holidays will be processed on the next available business day. During peak periods (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, December holidays), processing times may be extended.

2. Delivery Timeframes

We deliver to all addresses across South Africa. Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary based on your location and courier capacity.

• Standard Delivery (All Major Areas): 7–14 business days from dispatch
• Remote and Outlying Areas: 14–21 business days from dispatch

Remote areas include rural towns, farms, smallholdings, and areas not serviced by mainstream couriers. If unsure whether your address qualifies, please contact us before ordering.

3. Shipping Rates

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your order size and delivery address. The fee is clearly displayed before payment, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Free shipping promotions are offered periodically — check our website for current deals.

4. Order Tracking

Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking to activate after your dispatch notification.

5. Failed Deliveries

If a delivery attempt fails, the courier will contact you to arrange re-delivery. PetNest SA is not liable for costs caused by customer unavailability. If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address or repeated failed attempts, re-delivery fees are the customer's responsibility.

6. Incorrect Delivery Address

Please ensure your address is accurate before confirming your order. PetNest SA cannot be held responsible for delays or losses caused by an incorrect address. If you notice an error, contact us immediately at petnestsa@gmail.com — we cannot guarantee corrections once an order has been dispatched.

7. Lost or Damaged Parcels

Contact us at petnestsa@gmail.com within 7 days of the expected delivery date. Retain all original packaging and photograph any damage — this is required for courier claims.

8. Public Holidays

No deliveries are made on South African public holidays. These days are not counted as business days for delivery estimates.

9. Delays Beyond Our Control

PetNest SA is not liable for delays caused by adverse weather, courier strikes, load shedding, or other force majeure events. We will communicate with you and resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
